What Version of Studio am I running?

Check out the following instructions to determine which Aptana Studio you already have installed.

Aptana Studio Standalone 1.5.0

Aptana Studio 1.5.1 contains a hot fix for the update system. Studio 1.5.0 WILL NOT automatically update to 1.5.1 and will require users to manually add update sites to their Studio. By following the below instructions, your Aptana Studio will auto-update in the future.

Instructions

1. Open the "Preferences" Window.
   • Windows Users: Go to "Window" -> "Preferences"
   • Mac Users: Go to "Aptana Studio" -> "Preferences"
2. Add the following update sites:
   • http://update.aptana.com/update/studio-rcp
   • http://update.aptana.com/update/studio-pro
   • http://update.aptana.com/update/db-tools
   • http://update.aptana.com/update/cloud
   • http://update.aptana.com/update/svn
3. Run "Help"->"Check for Updates"

Aptana Studio Standalone 1.5.1

If you already have Aptana Studio 1.5.1, you will not need to do anything.

Eclipse

In general, 'Automatic updates' are turned off. You have one of two options to get the next Aptana Studio updates:

Option 1: Run Check for Updates:

• Eclipse 3.5 Users: Select "Help"->"Check for Updates..."
• Eclipse 3.4 Users:
  1. Select "Help"->"Software Updates..."
  2. Select all the "Aptana" plugins
  3. Click the Update Button

Option 2: Turn on Automatic Updates

1. Open the "Preferences" Window.
   • Windows Users: Go to "Window" -> "Preferences"
   • Mac Users: Go to "Eclipse" -> "Preferences"
2. Expand "Install/Update" -> "Automatic Updates"
3. Select "Automatically find new updates and notify me" checkbox.
