From Aptana

You can add a lot of functionality to Aptana Studio by installing one of the many compatible plugins--Aptana Studio itself is available as both a standalone application and an Eclipse plugin.

Aptana Plugin Installation -- The Easy Way

Aptana Studio's most popular and featured partner plugins are available for easy installation from the Plugins tab of the My Aptana page, including:

• Aptana PHP
• Aptana RadRails
• Adobe AIR Development Plugin for Aptana Studio
• Nokia WRT Plugin for Aptana Studio (from Nokia)
• Many popular Ajax libraries and several utilities

To install any of these simply go to the Plugins tab on My Aptana and click the link labeled Get It underneath the name of the plugin. If the plugin is already installed you'll see a message telling you the plugin is up to date or that a new version is available for download.

Using the Update Manager

Installing Non-Aptana Plugins on Eclipse 3.5

1. Go to Help -> Install New Software...
2. In the "Work with:" text box, specify your desired update site.
3. Click Add...
4. Specify the Name of the Update site (i.e. Aptana Studio Plugin)
5. Click OK
6. Select the "Aptana Studio" checkbox
7. Click the Next Button
8. Confirm the items you are installing
9. Click the Next Button once more
10. Accept the terms and conditions
11. Click the Finish Button

Installing Non-Aptana Plugins on Eclipse 3.4

1. From the Help menu, select Software Updates...
2. Select Available Software.
3. Click the Add Site... button.
4. In the Location text box, type the URL for the update site. This URL should be listed on the web site or home page for the plug-in.
5. Click the OK button
6. Confirm that the new site is selected.
7. Click the Install... button.
8. Click Next. On the following screen, click the option to accept the terms of the license agreement.
9. Click Finish.
